ICE FISHEMAN ARE REPORTING THAT ICE IS ABOUT 10-12"THICK
AND FISHING HAS BEEN GOOD.

RESERVOIR HAS RECEDED TO NORMAL, SEASONAL LOW LEVEL.
THE CAMPGROUNDS ARE ALL CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.
THEY SHOULD ALL REOPEN IN MAY.
You can still park by the gate or in pullouts along hwy 9 and walk down to the water to fish. most accesses are now snow covered.

.The reservoir was built to replace water to the Colorado River that is sent to the Front Range through the Big Thompson Project. It is a storage reservoir so the levels will flucuate as water is called for on the Western Slope.
The Green Mountain Reservoir and Cataract Lake and Falls recreation areas are under the management of the US Forest Service. For questions related to camp grounds, you can contact The Dillon Ranger District office in Silverthorne - 970-468-5400.
